Jess Harris - Aged 27
I have always one way or another had an activity outside of work to help keep me amused whether it be Dancing, Swimming or Kayaking.
But in recent years I have been more interested in an activity that will keep me trim and fit. I tried various gym's and jogging exercises outside but I found them to be boring and anti social.
Mr Knight is a close friend of mine and suggested that I join his classes being as they are quite active and may find it is a more enjoyable alternative to running on a tread mill in a sweaty gym.
I started Tae Kwon Do in 2008 and after my first lesson I was so confused I could not determine my left from my right but even so I knew I was going to be a keen Tae Kwon Do student.
I can honestly say becoming a Tae Kwon Do student is no comparison to becoming a gym member. Mr Knight's classes teach you discipline and determination as well as many other advantages such as self defence, fitness and to be competitive and achieve to the best of your ability.
Tae Kwon Do has its rewards, I have managed to make some new friends and it always helps as our lessons can sometimes be quite amusing with fun and laughter as well as the seriousness of learning a martial art.
Beats any other form of exercise and you earn a certificate at the end of all your hard work when you pass your grading.
